MEET OUR LOCAL PARTNERS
Casita Huaran
Your Home in The Sacred Valley
Our main
accommodation for all trips is in a local Ecolodge rooted in permaculture principles to
reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible. Casita Huaran also supports and
funds social impact work with local youth. By choosing to stay here, we’re helping invest in
the next generation through youth-centered social programs, while also respecting the land
and local ecosystem.
Fundación Ninos del Arco Iris
Volunteering Partner Ninos del Arco Iris
Foundation is a grassroots education initiative in Urubamba, Peru, offering holistic
learning to local children aged 3 to 13 who are economically and socioculturally vulnerable.
Their vibrant school integrates academics with art, music, sports, languages, environmental
awareness, and emotional support to nurture confidence, cultural identity, and
community.
We choose to collaborate with Ninos del Arco Iris because their approach
reflects our shared values: positive impact on the local community, cultural exchange and
fostering connection. Volunteer opportunities during your cultural immersion trip will give
you the chance to show up, learn, exchange, share by teaching English, and walk alongside a
project that’s already making a powerful local impact.

Camila Mejía Founder
Camila, originally from Arequipa, is a vibrant
force on our team. She's proactive, brimming with big ideas, and has an
infectious enthusiasm for bringing people together. With a deep passion for the
outdoors, she leads cultural immersion trips that empower kids to make informed
decision with a broader global perspective.
In 2020, she moved to the Sacred
Valley, where she co-founded Suelo Sagrado, a local organic farmers cooperative.
Together with her brother, she delivered fresh, ethically sourced produce to promote
a sustainable and resilient food system, igniting her commitment to
community-building. After that, Camila went on to work in student travel, where she
realised how much she enjoyed creating immersive trips and being part of young
people's journey as they experience a new culture for the first
time.
"My favorite part of running group trips is seeing how
transformative the time spent in a different culture can be when you have anopen
mind and allow the change to happen. It's amazing to see the impact these kinds
of trips have on youg people, and how they leave with a whole new perspective."

these experiences, and every booking directly supports the local economy and the people who make your
